What is the Lunar Cycle?

The lunar cycle is the constant changing of our perception of the illumination of the Moon. The phases that we percieve are the New Moon, Waxing Crescent, First-Quarter Moon, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Third-Quarter Moon, Waning Crescent.

What Causes the Lunar Cycle?

The lunar cycle is caused by the orbit and rotation of the Moon. The lunar cycle is also caused by the illumination of the Sun.
